Netflix\u2019s addictive social media<\/a>-inspired reality competition series<\/a>, The Circle<\/em>, is officially back for Season 2! But if you haven\u2019t tuned into Season 2\u2019s first few episodes, you should know we\u2019re headed into spoiler territory.<\/p>\n

Hosted by Michelle Buteau, the streaming series has a Big Brother<\/em>-meets-Catfish<\/em> vibe as contestants \u2014 housed separately in one building \u2014 get to know each other solely through TV screens and profiles created on a voice-activated custom social media app<\/a> called, yup, the Circle. This means there\u2019s plenty of space to present with a fake persona, which is allowed in this twisty game<\/a>. Viewers at home know who is or isn\u2019t who they say they are, and so whether they\u2019re gaming their fellow contestants.<\/p>\n

The season begins with eight players. At the end of each round, they\u2019re tasked with rating each other. If a contestant doesn\u2019t finish in the top two, there\u2019s a chance they\u2019ll be sent home or, in the parlance of the game, \u201cblocked.\u201d The goal is to land in one of the top Influencer positions and avoid being blocked for a chance to win the $100,000 grand prize.<\/p>\n
