Nothing comes between family \u2014 not even a long-lost brother.\u00a0 <\/p>\n

After over two years of delays,\u00a0\u201cF9\u201d\u00a0is finally coming to the big screen. The\u00a0latest trailer for the ninth installment\u00a0<\/a>of\u00a0\u201cThe Fast and the Furious\u201d\u00a0franchise dropped Wednesday and brings back many old faces \u2014 and even some new ones.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Following the wild events of 2017\u2019s\u00a0\u201cThe Fate of the Furious\u201d\u00a0(2017), Vin Diesel\u2019s Dominic Toretto and his family will come face to face with his estranged younger brother Jakob. John Cena will take on the role of Jakob, an assassin who is working with Dom\u2019s old foe Cipher.\u00a0<\/p>\n

But Diesel isn\u2019t the only member of his family starring in what will hopefully be the summer\u2019s biggest film. His 10-year-old son, Vincent Sinclair, will make his\u00a0<\/a>feature film debut in\u00a0\u201cF9,\u201d\u00a0app<\/a>earing as the younger version of Dom. According to\u00a0TMZ<\/a>, his son filmed his scenes back in 2019 and reportedly received a daily sum of $1,005.<\/p>\n

Alex McGee first portrayed the young Dom in a flashback scene in 2015\u2019s\u00a0\u201cFurious 7.\u201d<\/p>\n

Other iconic faces who will return to the sequel are Michelle Rodriguez, Tyrese Gibson, Ludacris, Charlize Theron, Helen Mirren, Sung Kang (whose character Han was previously thought to be dead) and Lucas Black.<\/p>\n

Universal Pictures\u2019 big-budget action flick was first expected to be released on April 19, 2019, but was moved to accompany the premiere of the spin-off film\u00a0\u201cHobbs & Shaw.\u201d It was then delayed to April 2020 to avoid competition with the newest Bond film,\u00a0\u201cNo Time to Die.\u201d <\/em>But \u201cF9\u201d\u00a0<\/em>was moved again to June 25, 2021, because of the coronavirus pandemic.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The \u201cGuardians of the Galaxy\u201d\u00a0<\/em>star shares his oldest son with longtime girlfriend and model Paloma Jim\u00e9nez. The couple are also parents to daughters Hania Riley, 12, and Pauline, 6. Diesel and Jim\u00e9nez named their youngest child after his late friend and\u00a0\u201cFast and Furious\u201d\u00a0<\/em>co-star Paul Walker. Walker died in November 2013 after a horrific car crash. \u00a0<\/p>\n

Diesel spoke to\u00a0Entertainment Weekly<\/a>\u00a0earlier this year about why he\u2019s \u201cdefinitely eager to share\u201d the new film and is, in fact, OK with its postponed release.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhen you make a good movie, your first goal is to make something that you can be proud of, and in the film business you learn from the very beginning that when the film gets released, even without the pandemic, is rarely in your control,\u201d he said. \u201cBut when you really think about the quality of the movie, there\u2019s more time you have to work in post-production, more time to get the shots right; it does give you a little bit of a cushion. I want to get the movie out for all of the great fans who have been waiting for this chapter \u2014 and yet look at the world that we live in.\u201d<\/p>\n
