{"id":228095,"date":"2021-04-16T02:28:48","date_gmt":"2021-04-15T23:28:48","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/en.buradabiliyorum.com\/two-top-wired-com-staffers-resign-citing-burnout-and-exhaustion\/"},"modified":"2021-04-16T02:28:48","modified_gmt":"2021-04-15T23:28:48","slug":"two-top-wired-com-staffers-resign-citing-burnout-and-exhaustion","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/two-top-wired-com-staffers-resign-citing-burnout-and-exhaustion\/","title":{"rendered":"#Two top Wired.com staffers resign, citing \u2018burnout\u2019 and \u2018exhaustion\u2019"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>&#8220;<strong>#Two top Wired.com staffers resign, citing \u2018burnout\u2019 and \u2018exhaustion\u2019<\/strong>&#8221;<\/p>\n<div>\n<p>Two top Wired.com employees announced Thursday that they\u2019re stepping down from the Conde Nast title, with one of them citing \u201cburnout\u201d and the other simply saying he is \u201cexhausted.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHi, some big <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/news\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"2\" title=\"News\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">news<\/a>: I\u2019m leaving @Wired next week,\u201d Meagan Greenwell, editor at Wired.com <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/megreenwell\/status\/1382759693643288580\">tweeted on Thursday<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Greenwell, who recently wrote a story for Wired about \u201chow to cope when your company lays off all its support staff and you no longer have time to do your actual job,\u201d cited \u201cburnout.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Scott Rosenfield, Wired\u2019s site director in charge of digital strategy, <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/ScottRosenfield\/status\/1382744325705056257\">also tweeted on Thursday <\/a>that he is leaving the company, effective im<a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/social-mediaa\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"1\" title=\"Social Media\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">media<\/a>tely, claiming \u201cexhaustion.\u201d <\/p>\n<p>\u201cIn all seriousness, today is my last day at WIRED,\u201d Rosenfield wrote. \u201cI\u2019m exhausted and proud. I\u2019ve decided that now is the right time for me to figure out what comes next. Like them, I am totally drained, and I\u2019ve realized I cannot do my best work without a break,\u201d Greenwell said. <\/p>\n<p>Tran didn\u2019t return a request for comment, but on March 30<a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/millie\/status\/1376965076800921606\"> she tweeted<\/a>: \u201cCrises also clarify. I realized it\u2019s essential to give as much care to the entirety of my life as I do my work. Gideon Litchfield was recruited from MIT <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/technology\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"4\" title=\"Technology\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Technology<\/a> Review to the newly created post of global editorial director in charge of Wired\u2019s five worldwide editions, but he did not start until March 22. <\/p>\n<p>Neither Conde nor Rosenfield nor Greenwell returned calls seeking further comment. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cI\u2019m a little terrified!,\u201d Greenwell tweeted of her own looming exit next week. \u201cI don\u2019t know who I am without working 10-plus hours a day. I\u2019m a woman who wants to run a newsroom again, and I know admitting weakness could hurt my career.
