“#Pusha T, Young Thug beef over Drake diss on Pop Smoke\u2019s posthumous album<\/strong>”<\/p>\n

\n The Pusha T and Drake beef goes on \u2014 and this time it includes Young Thug, Gunna and late rapp<\/a>er Pop Smoke.<\/p>\n

The song at the center of the social<\/a>-media squabble is \u201cParanoia,\u201d a track that was left off Pop Smoke\u2019s posthumous debut studio album, \u201cShoot for the Stars Aim for the Moon,\u201d which was released Friday. But the track was leaked over the weekend, and it brought back some long-running bad blood.<\/p>\n

On \u201cParanoia,\u201d featuring Young Thug, Gunna and Pusha, the latter seems to use his verse to stoke his feud with Drake, 33, in references to the \u201cToosie Slide\u201d rapper\u2019s Toronto hometown and accent-shifting delivery.<\/p>\n

\u201cYou know reality bites, it\u2019s chess, not checkers\/Those empty threats only sound good on your records,\u201d raps Pusha, 43. \u201cIf the patois is not followed by a blocka\/It\u2019s like \u2018Marked for Death,\u2019 Screwface without the choppa\/Let \u2019em rush the stage when you made like Sinatra\/Only to hide the blade flyin\u2019 back through LaGuardia\/I might even buy a home out in Mississauga.\u201d<\/p>\n

And Mississauga just so happens to be an Ontario city near Toronto.<\/p>\n

Young Thug, 28, jumped in it, saying on his Instagram Stories that he would have never agreed to do that song if he knew about the Drake diss on Pusha\u2019s verse. \u201cI don\u2019t respect the pusha t verse on the song with me and Gunna cause I don\u2019t have nun to do with y\u2019all beef nor does Gunna, and if I knew that was about him I would\u2019ve made changes on our behalf,\u201d Thugger wrote.<\/p>\n

Gunna, 27, reposted Young Thug\u2019s Story, making it clear exactly where he stood in all this.<\/p>\n

Then Pusha responded to Young Thug on his IG Stories: \u201cyou were the last verse added to the song and that\u2019s ONLY because I requested YOU!!\u201d And for good measure, he added: \u201cI WOULD NEVER look or need YOUR respect for what is it I bring to this rap game<\/a>!!\u201d<\/p>\n

Pusha also seems to imply that the offending verse is the reason \u201cParanoia\u201d was left off the album, although he hints that the track was supposed to be included on a deluxe version.<\/p>\n

Of course, the attention should really all be on Pop Smoke, a Brooklyn-born rapper who was killed at just 20 during a home invasion in Los Angeles in February \u2014 a tragedy that makes the whole Pusha-Drake beef, which last ignited in 2018, seem pretty silly.\n <\/p><\/div>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/div>\n
