“#Will Meredith Stay With Derek? (VIDEO)<\/strong>”<\/p>\n

The good news<\/a> is Dr. Meredith Grey (Ellen Pompeo<\/a>) is off the vent and has regained consciousness, albeit briefly. The bad news is no one knows why she isn\u2019t fully awake. But the promo for the April 22 episode of Grey\u2019s Anatomy<\/em><\/a>, \u201cGood as Hell,\u201d does offer a clue.<\/p>\n

\u201cMeredith\u2019s X-rays have shown a remarkable improvement,\u201d Dr. Teddy Altman (Kim Raver<\/a>) says, leading Dr. Richard Webber (James Pickens Jr.<\/a>) to wonder, \u201cwhy isn\u2019t she [awake]?\u201d<\/p>\n

The answer is simple: On that beach, in her mind, she\u2019s with her late husband, Dr. Derek Shepherd (Patrick Dempsey<\/a>). And she doesn\u2019t want to leave him.<\/p>\n

\u201cPeople love you, Meredith,\u201d he tells her as he seemingly tries to convince her to wake up. \u201cPeople need you.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m tired,\u201d she says, and \u201cI want you closer.\u201d<\/p>\n

But that\u2019s a problem. Because, \u201cif you get closer\u2026,\u201d he tells her. She knows: \u201cI\u2019ll never leave.\u201d<\/p>\n

As the end of the promo below shows, however, she does get closer to him. So what does that mean for Meredith? Will she return to her kids, family, and friends? Or will she stay with Derek?<\/p>\n
