The Issue: A New York teacher\u2019s essay criticizing the use of \u201cCritical Race Theory\u201d in schools.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Anyone who reads Paul Rossi\u2019s essay on his experience with Critical Race Theory in a private school cannot help but recall the history of China and the USSR (\u201cLesson in wrong division,\u201d April 14).<\/p>\n

When and how did we in the United States adopt the methodology of China\u2019s cultural revolution and communist reeducation? How do we stop this, and where is it leading? <\/p>\n

Rossi underscores that freedom of speech is disapp<\/a>earing.<\/p>\n

With that said, what has been overlooked is: How are schools improving education and preparing students to work in a global workplace as we continue to see the US educational system fall in global rankings? Is the core curriculum a priority? <\/p>\n

Paul Rossi is a hero. Reading his plea for sanity, at least at Grace Church HS, was riveting and depressing.<\/p>\n

Call it Critical Race Theory or any other name, Rossi\u2019s description of the landmines imposed on him as he teaches reminds one of the movies<\/a> about communism we all saw in the \u201950s and \u201960s.<\/p>\n

Rossi sounded relieved to offload the burden of having to \u201cthink correctly,\u201d while worrying about his students escaping the espoused dogma.<\/p>\n

For him, teaching seems to be worth those risks, a heroism we see too little of in our schools and (especially) universities. Thank you, Rossi. <\/p>\n

As a parent whose children have received superb educations at Grace Church HS, I am a huge fan of the institution.<\/p>\n

I am also a huge fan of Rossi for speaking his mind freely and sharing his views.<\/p>\n

Black Americans were severely mistreated and have been waging an uphill battle to get to equal standing.<\/p>\n

While giving some preferences to assist in that battle is not the long-term solution, it is necessary both to help in the redress and also to show that the problem is recognized.<\/p>\n

The Issue: The Biden administration considering lifting sanctions on Iran in a reversal of Trump\u2019s policies.<\/strong><\/p>\n

One thing you can count on is the Iranians knowing when they have a patsy to negotiate with (\u201cBiden Caves to Iran,\u201d Editorial, April 11).<\/p>\n

The Biden administration came into office holding all the cards. The Iranian economy was on life support, and the Iranian people were desperate to rid themselves of the rogue regime.<\/p>\n

Yet America is on its hands and knees, begging Iran to come to the table.<\/p>\n

Watch Biden\u2019s negotiators give away concession after concession to get the mad mullahs sign on the dotted line.<\/p>\n

More money to Iran would mean more terrorism in the Middle East, Europe and, possibly, the United States.<\/p>\n

It is alarming that Biden\u2019s negotiators ignored the advice of other Middle Eastern countries against the reversal of American sanctions on Iran.<\/p>\n

Biden and his flunkies are not acting in the best interests of Americans or peace in the Middle East. <\/p>\n
