Buying movie tickets online is much easier than waiting in line at the theater, but what if it could be even better? Thanks to Google\u2019s \u201cDuplex\u201d technology<\/a>, Assistant can do all the legwork for you. We\u2019ll show you how.<\/p>\n

This Duplex feature<\/a> is available for Android and works with the Google Chrome browser<\/a>. Google Assistant will launch the ticketing website and guide you through the multi-step process of buying tickets.<\/p>\n

To get started, launch Google Assistant on your Android phone or tablet. You can say\u00a0 \u201cOK, Google\u201d or swipe in from the bottom-left or -right corner.<\/p>\n

Next, say \u201cShowtimes for [Movie Name] in [Location].\u201d It should be noted that you can also enter this query into the search bar of the Google app<\/a>\u00a0if you prefer.<\/p>\n

Scroll through the results and pick a date and showtime for the theater that you\u2019d like to visit.<\/p>\n

Several ticket options will app<\/a>ear. Tap the \u201cBuy Tickets\u201d button with the Assistant icon for whichever service you\u2019d like to use.<\/p>\n

You\u2019ll be asked to agree to use Google Assistant in Chrome to purchase the tickets. Tap \u201cI Agree\u201d to proceed.<\/p>\n

Here\u2019s where the magic happens. Google Assistant will now navigate to the ticketing website for you and ask you to choose the number of tickets and seats. The process will be slightly different depending on the website. Follow the instructions on the screen.<\/p>\n

After that, you\u2019ll need to provide a payment method, agree to the privacy policy and terms, and tap \u201cContinue.\u201d<\/p>\n

Lastly, you\u2019ll be asked to confirm everything. Select \u201cPay on [ticket website]\u201d to have Google Assistant complete the transaction.<\/p>\n
