\n Matt Harvey\u2019s comeback attempt may take him to Korea.<\/p>\n

The Post confirmed on Friday a Korean-based report by SBS that Harvey\u2019s representatives with Scott Boras\u2019 agency reached out to KBO teams. According to the report, there\u2019s no match yet, but it remains a possibility. KBO rosters allow a maximum of three foreign players and only two can be pitchers.<\/p>\n

The South Korean league is one of the few professional leagues that has resumed action and Harvey, 31, had not found a new home in the MLB by the time spring training was shut down in March due to the coronavirus pandemic.<\/p>\n

Harvey had a workout with the Blue Jays in Connecticut in February, but didn\u2019t receive a contract offer and has been throwing bullpen sessions regularly since then.<\/p>\n

But with MLB and the Players Association still unable to strike a deal to return to play, there\u2019s little chance Harvey could catch on with a team during an abbreviated season, especially with the minor league season almost certainly done for the year.<\/p>\n

Last month, Harvey told The Post he\u2019s considered the possibility his career might be over.<\/p>\n

\u201cI have thought about it here and there,\u201d said Harvey, who was drafted seventh overall by the Mets in 2010. \u201cI haven\u2019t not had a job in 10 years. It\u2019s definitely different, but it\u2019s exciting at the same time because I feel so good mechanically.\u201d<\/p>\n

Harvey made his debut with the Mets in 2012, became an All-Star the following season and after undergoing Tommy John surgery, returned in 2015 to help guide the Mets to the World Series<\/a>.<\/p>\n

But Harvey was forced to undergo surgery in 2016 for thoracic outlet syndrome and has never been the same.<\/p>\n

He returned in 2017, pitched poorly and after a bad start in 2018, Harvey was designated for assignment and traded to the Reds. He went on to sign a one-year, $11 million deal with the Angels prior to last season and was released in July with a 7.09 ERA. He finished the year in the minors with Oakland.<\/p>\n

\u201cI hope I get the opportunity,\u2019\u2019 Harvey said. \u201cI feel like I\u2019m in high school again, where I have to showcase myself and start all over. I just want to put myself in position to be ready and if it doesn\u2019t work out, to know I put the effort in to make a comeback \u2026 I hope somebody gives me a shot. I feel like I have many more years in me.\u201d\n <\/p><\/div>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/div>\n
