\nFollowing his sensational app<\/a>earance in JAY-Z\u2019s Hype Williams-directed MONOGRAM ad campaign, Curren$y is staging a hazy entrance into the emerging cryptocurrency space of non-fungible tokens (NFT) with his upcoming 4\/20 release.<\/p>\n

On Tuesday (April 20), Curren$y\u2019s fans will have the opportunity to purchase his new seven-track Financial District EP,<\/em>\u00a0which will double as their invitation to an exclusive virtual smoke session backstage with Spitta at his upcoming 4\/20 concert in Houston.<\/p>\n

For three days starting April 20 at 4:20pm EST, fans will have a chance the purchase\u00a0Financial District EP <\/em>NFT during an online sale on the official Jet life website powered by the crypto technology<\/a> of music NFT company Bondly Finance. <\/a><\/p>\n

Along with a one-of-a-kind \u201cmusically inspired,\u201d art auction piece designed by 3D NFT animation graphic artist Kid Eight, the NFT sale features three tiers at different price points to offer fans an array of affordable options. The winning bid of the art auction will also receive flights and hotel accommodations for a meet with Curren$y at a future event.<\/p>\n

Tier one includes the full 7-song EP and a 4\/20 \u201cSmoke Pass,\u201d as well as two rare NFT\u2019s depicting Curren$y Lowrider NFT and the iconic Jet Life Chain. The next tier groups a 5-song selection from the EP, a 4\/20 Smoke Pass and the Curren$y Lowrider NFT \u2014 while the final tier serves solely as\u00a0a 4\/20 \u201cSmoke Pass.\u201d<\/p>\n

Curren$y\u2019s\u00a0Financial District EP <\/em>NFT marks the Louisiana rapper\u2019s first cryptocurrency moves, and follows recent NFT drops from artists such as Jeezy and 6ix9ine, among others.\u00a0Though Spitta\u2019s NFT release bares similarities to other artists\u2019 token releases, like Post Malone\u2019s World Beer Pong League<\/em> NFT<\/a> with\u00a0cryptocurrency firm Fyooz, his\u00a0Financial District EP <\/em>NFT is unique because it combines multiple mediums including the live concert,\u00a0 digital art and curated experience.<\/p>\n

NFT\u2019s are like collectible sports cards and essentially serve as a digital certificate of authenticity for \u201can object, real or virtual,\u201d a tech expert recently penned in the L.A. Times<\/a>. In theory, an artist can utilize a NFT to create a virtual concert experience or use it as a collectible token that gives its owners access to a virtual or physical performance of the same kind.<\/p>\n

With well over two million monthly listeners on Spotify, a fully independent record label and thriving lifestyle brand already within his wheelhouse, Curren$y believes his upcoming NFT drop is the perfect way to continue to build the legacy of his Jet Life imprint.<\/p>\n
