It\u2019s Instagram \u201cIdol\u201d!<\/p>\n

Wyatt Pike has released his first song on the social media<\/a> platform less than a week after quitting \u201cAmerican Idol,\u201d a shocking move considering he was named into the top 12.<\/p>\n

Pike, a self-proclaimed\u00a020-year-old \u201ckid\u201d<\/a>\u00a0from Park City, Utah, released the original song called \u201cFriday Nights\u201d on Monday, just hours before the competition show airs on ABC.<\/p>\n

\u201cAs promised, here\u2019s a video of my tune \u2018Friday Nights\u2019,\u201d he wrote. \u201cI had fun filming this for you yesterday, hope you enjoy! \u2018Friday Nights\u2019 is available on all streaming platforms!\u201d<\/p>\n

Reps for Pike and \u201cAmerican Idol\u201d did not return The Post\u2019s request for comment.<\/p>\n

Fans seem to be loving the acoustic guitar-heavy song, calling him \u201ctalented\u201d and sharing heart emojis.<\/p>\n

The new song release comes after host Ryan Seacrest delivered the ambiguous news<\/a> that Pike would not be competing any further in the show.<\/p>\n

\u201cBefore we get to the results, I have to tell you that finalist Wyatt Pike will not be competing in the competition,\u201d Seacrest, 46, said. \u201cHe had to drop out \u2014 but we wish him the very best, OK?\u201d<\/p>\n

A spokesperson for \u201cAmerican Idol\u201d confirmed to The Post last week that Pike had left the show for \u201cpersonal reasons,\u201d but an insider claimed that \u201cWyatt could not continue.\u201d<\/p>\n

Pike, however, doubled down on Instagram, parroting what reps said was his motive to leave the show.<\/p>\n

\u201cI had to leave the\u00a0@AmericanIdol<\/a>\u00a0competition for personal reasons but am so thankful I get to play music for the rest of my life,\u201d Pike\u00a0posted Wednesday<\/a>\u00a0on Instagram. \u201cFellow contestants \u2014 miss you all, good luck!\u201d<\/p>\n

The mysterious early exit came on the heels of the young performer\u2019s show-stopping moment when Pike wowed the judges\u2019 panel with his confident rendition of the Kings of Leon\u2019s 2008 hit \u201cUse Somebody.\u201d<\/p>\n

Lionel Richie, 71, said Pike had \u201ca style on stage that we like to watch\u201d and predicted he was on his way to \u201csomething big.\u201d Katy Perry, 36, said he had \u201ca little bit of an angle in this competition [because] you\u2019re an authentic singer-writer.\u201d<\/p>\n

Following his exit, Pike shared a photo of his hometown in Utah to fans. \u201cSomething to feel this through: home,\u201d\u00a0he wrote<\/a>. \u201cThankful for the rollercoaster I\u2019m on today.\u201d\n <\/div>\n
