Referred to in the community as the \u201cfirst fintech Comptroller\u201d and \u201cCrypto Comptroller,\u201d Brooks served as acting comptroller of the currency\u00a0from May 2020 to January 2021.<\/p>\n<p>Binance CEO and founder\u00a0Changpeng Zhao said that Brooks\u2019 expertise and knowledge will be invaluable as Binance.US continues to expand. \u201cBrian is an esteemed leader with an unparalleled blend of experience across traditional financial services, government, and the digital assets industry. Binance.US\u2019 ability to attract an executive of Brian\u2019s caliber is a testament to the strength of its platform,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>In an interview with The Wall Street Journal, Brooks\u00a0<a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.wsj.com\/articles\/cryptocurrency-giant-binance-hires-former-top-bank-regulator-11618912800?mod=e2tw\">said<\/a> that his priorities at Binance.US would include making the exchange a strong competitor of Coinbase as well as reinforcing its commitment to regulatory compliance.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe are at the cusp of mainstream adoption of blockchain <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/technology\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"4\" title=\"Technology\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">technology<\/a> and digital tokens by individuals, institutions, and governments alike.
