The jury has spoken. Derek Chauvin is guilty on all\u00a0charges. Now it\u2019s time for politicians to do what they haven\u2019t done so far \u2014 act responsibly.<\/p>\n

President Biden was completely wrong to weigh in on Tuesday, saying that he was praying for a guilty verdict. Rep. Maxine Waters (D-Calif.) was of course worse, saying crowds should get \u201cmore confrontational\u201d if former officer Derek Chauvin was found not guilty. It was incitement, and it\u2019s shameful that Democrats defeated a censure vote against her.<\/p>\n

Because of their actions, this national nightmare will drag on<\/a>, as Chauvin likely will file an app<\/a>eal saying he didn\u2019t get a fair trial. The judge certainly thought that would happen.<\/p>\n

Derek Chauvin killed George Floyd. His act of kneeling on Floyd\u2019s neck was horrific. The prosecution presented the case well. The jury did their duty.\u00a0<\/p>\n

But while Derek Chauvin is a disgrace to his\u00a0profession, he does not represent his entire profession, as progressive politicians would have you believe. The Squad and far too many New York politicians think his prosecution is just the first step. They would \u201cdefund\u201d every cop, and take away the people keeping us safe.<\/p>\n

Activists would like you to judge every officer by Chauvin\u2019s actions \u2014 and not by the cop who saves a child, or prevents a murder, protects a battered spouse or stops a robbery.<\/p>\n

Nor does his actions represent the entire country, as Biden shamefully said after the verdict, saying Floyd\u2019s death \u201cripped the blinders off for the whole world to see the systemic racism . . .\u00a0 The systemic racism is a stain on our nation\u2019s soul.\u201d<\/p>\n

The justice system worked, but the left \u2014 with Biden\u2019s blessing \u2014 want to convince you it\u2019s not worth saving.\u00a0Rather than trying to heal a nation, they\u2019re trying to tear it apart.\n <\/p><\/div>\n
