During a recent <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/download-scripts-themes-apps\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"9\" title=\"Download Scripts &amp; Themes &amp; Apps\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">app<\/a>earance on\u00a0<em>The Tonight Show<\/em>, Cameron spoke about how special the theatrical experience still is, and shared his hopes that \u2013 when everything is safe \u2013 we\u2019ll all flock back to the multiplex to watch big <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/watch-movies-tv-seriess\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"8\" title=\"Watch Movies &amp; TV Series\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">movies<\/a>. And hey, if some of those big movies happen to be directed by James Cameron, that would be nice, too.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"James Cameron Talks Avatar Sequels\u00a0and Secrets\u00a0of the Whales | The Tonight Show\" width=\"640\" height=\"360\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/_Bf_qYQaNfQ?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><br \/>\n<!-- SlashFilm_300x250_In_Post -->In the video above, Mr. Jim Cameron talks about his hopes for the survival of movie theaters as we enter the post-pandemic age. \u201cEverybody makes a big deal out of [the box office battle], but the truth is what we really need to focus on is getting back to theaters,\u201d Cameron said. \u201cHopefully we can still have movies like that, <em>End<a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/game\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"7\" title=\"Game\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">game<\/a><\/em> and <em>Avatar\u00a0<\/em>and the big Marvel movies and all that, movies that are able to make $1 billion or $2 billion.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Now, a cynical read of Cameron\u2019s comments might make it sound like he\u2019s saying he wants movie theaters to open up because he wants to make more money. And while I\u2019m sure that\u2019s not\u00a0<em>not<\/em> true \u2013 of course Cameron wants to make money, we all do, that\u2019s life here in a capitalist society \u2013 I don\u2019t think he\u2019s saying, \u201cOpen up the theaters so\u00a0<em>Avatar 2<\/em> can make a billion bucks!\u201d Sure, Cameron\u2019s\u00a0<em>Avatar<\/em> recently reclaimed its crown as the biggest box office hit of all time, but I think what Cameron is saying here is that he hopes movie theaters can thrive again so there can be more big movies to come \u2013 be they\u00a0<em>Avatar<\/em> sequels, or something else.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cLet\u2019s pray that movie theaters are still there after this pandemic and after this shift towards streaming, not that I have anything against streaming,\u201d Cameron added. \u201cThere\u2019s great writing and great shows in [streaming], but let\u2019s remember that movie theaters are a sacred experience for all of us. Let\u2019s get back out there when it\u2019s safe to do so.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>With more and more people being vaccinated, there\u2019s a real hope in Hollywood that movie theaters can bounce back. And while it\u2019s still too early to know for sure, there are signs of life \u2013\u00a0<em>Godzilla vs. Kong<\/em> is doing very well at the box office, even though people have the option to watch it at home via HBO Max.
