\n The Silicon Valley startup founder who went on a racist tirade against an Asian family at a California restaurant apologized for the outburst \u2014 which he chalked up to losing \u201ccontrol,\u201d according to a report.<\/p>\n

Michael Lofthouse, the CEO of IT company Solid8, was caught on video verbally attacking Jordan Chan and her family Saturday at Bernardus Lodge and Spa\u2019s Lucia restaurant in Carmel Valley.<\/p>\n

\u201cMy behavior in the video is app<\/a>alling. This was clearly a moment where I lost control and made incredibly hurtful and divisive comments,\u201d Lofthouse said in an email to news<\/a> station KGO-TV.<\/p>\n

\u201cI would like to deeply apologize to the Chan family. I can only imagine the stress and pain they feel,\u201d he continued.<\/p>\n

\u201cI was taught to respect people of all races, and I will take the time to reflect on my actions and work to better understand the inequality that so many of those around me face every day.\u201d<\/p>\n

In the video filmed by Chan, the tech entrepreneur could be seen gesturing at the family while saying, \u201cTrump\u2019s going to f\u2013k you!\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cYou f\u2013kers need to leave,\u201d he said to them as he stood up and put on his coat.<\/p>\n

A waitress then confronted him, saying, \u201cYou do not talk to a guest like that, you need to leave now.\u201d<\/p>\n

But he continued to rail into the other patrons, shouting at them, \u201cYou f\u2013king Asian piece of s\u2013t.\u201d<\/p>\n

Raymond Orosa, who is Chan\u2019s uncle and witnessed the incident, said that he\u2019s not buying Lofthouse\u2019s apology.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe\u2019s just saving face. I think he really meant what he said and what he did,\u201d Orosa told news station KGO-TV.<\/p>\n

\u201cI don\u2019t believe his words because his actions speak louder than the words he\u2019s saying.\u201d\n <\/p><\/div>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/div>\n
