You know the confirmation email you typically get when signing up for a new service or account? Twitter accidentally sent a bunch out to existing users. If you got a sudden email from Twitter asking to confirm your account, <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/TwitterSupport\/status\/1385439529788715015?s=20\">you can ignore it<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Hopefully, you\u2019re already well-versed in the concept of not clicking on links in suspicious emails you didn\u2019t ask for, but in this case, it\u2019s technically a legitimate email. Twitter confirmed as much in a tweet, and apologized for sending out the messages.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">Some of you may have recently received an email to \u201cconfirm your Twitter account\u201d that you weren\u2019t expecting. These were sent by mistake and we\u2019re sorry it h<a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/download-scripts-themes-apps\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"9\" title=\"Download Scripts &amp; Themes &amp; Apps\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">app<\/a>ened.<\/p>\n<p>If you received one of these emails, you don&#8217;t need to confirm your account and you can disregard the message.<\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Twitter Support (@TwitterSupport) <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/TwitterSupport\/status\/1385439529788715015?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">April 23, 2021<\/a><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>If you got one, and you didn\u2019t just sign up for a new Twitter account you can ignore it. You don\u2019t need to confirm your account again. If you just signed up for a new account and you\u2019ve never confirmed it, then you still should.
