According to <em>VladTV, <\/em>a California parole board <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.vladtv.com\/article\/271686\/da-lench-mob-member-j-dee-released-from-prison-after-serving-25-years\">approved his release<\/a> last December, noting they were impressed by his involvement in self-help programs and willingness to change his life \u2014 it just took four months for the board to finalize all the details.<\/p>\n<p>J-Dee was convicted of killing 23-year-old Scott \u201cPearl\u201d Charles in 1993 and although he maintains he didn\u2019t pull the trigger, he does take culpability for being the catalyst in the murder.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI do accept responsibility because I brought everyone to that drama that night, every person involved in that from the very first scuffle,\u201d J-Dee told the board during his hearing. \u201cI even picked two people up who was not part of the original scuffle, brought them back to the location \u2026 I am responsible for everything that took place that night.\u201d<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"instagram-media\" style=\"background: #FFF; J-Dee said one of Charles\u2019s friends would make a point of attending his concerts in the Los Angeles area so he could report back to the girlfriend if he cheated.<\/p>\n<p>He added, \u201cI let them know that night, if she\u2019s not worried about it, why are you worried about my business?\u201d<\/p>\n<p>As the board was granting J-Dee parole, presiding commissioner David Long noted he\u2019d cried during his apology and appeared sincere.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cYou were remorseful and appropriately emotional when you discussed the harm you caused to your victims,\u201d Long said. \u201cUltimately, the panel felt that you\u2019ve demonstrated a lengthy period of positive rehabilitation, which is a standard for suitability under the law.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>California Governor Gavin <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/news\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"2\" title=\"News\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">News<\/a>om had the opportunity to block J-Dee\u2019s release but clearly chose not to. The group released just two albums under Da Lench Mob moniker during their brief career \u2014 1992\u2019s <em>Guerillas In The Mist<\/em>\u00a0(executive produced by Cube) and 1994\u2019s <em>Planet Of Da Apes.\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Speaking to <em>HipHopDX<\/em> in 2013, J-Dee maintained his innocence and talked about how he stayed sane during his time in prison.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cMy day-to-day life entails my job as a clerk in the prison\u2019s computer lab for vocational training,\u201d he said at the time. \u201cI work out an hour a day, attend self-help groups; such as NA\/AA, school of the Bible and anger management. I\u2019m an author now, so I dedicate four hours a day to writing urban novels.
