Jesse Stone\u2019s old girlfriend pays a visit to NYC police commissioner Frank Reagan (Tom Selleck<\/a>) on Blue Bloods<\/em><\/a>\u2018 two-part Season 11 finale on May 14, TV Insider has learned exclusively.<\/p>\n

Fans of Selleck\u2019s popular Jesse Stone<\/em><\/a> movie franchise about novelist Robert B. Parker\u2019s small-town cop will recognize Gloria Reuben<\/a> as a nightclub singer and sometime Stone lover Thelma Gleffy, who app<\/a>eared in three Jesse Stone <\/em>films. (The busy actress\u2019s impressive resume also includes E.R.<\/a>,<\/em>Law & Order: SVU<\/a>, Falling Skies<\/a>, Blindspot<\/a>, Mr. Robot<\/a>,<\/em> and currently City on a Hill<\/a>.)<\/em><\/p>\n

Her character doesn\u2019t sing the blues in her latest role opposite Selleck, but she does create them for the miscreants she catches. On the CBS hit, Reuben will play strong-willed Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms Special Agent Rachel Weber. She\u2019s the agent in charge of undercover operative Det. Joe Hill (Will Hochman), Frank\u2019s newly-found grandson who\u2019s been missing from the show since the December 18 episode.<\/p>\n

\u201cShe and Frank have a two-part battle because they obviously both have claims to this young detective, \u201c executive producer Kevin Wade tells TV Insider. \u201cThey\u2019re sort of cast in the role of divorced parents who share custody and argue over what\u2019s best for the kid.\u201d<\/p>\n

Wade calls the pair\u2019s onscreen interaction \u201can interesting dynamic\u201d that plays out over both episodes. \u201cThe chemistry between the two is fun,\u201d he reveals. \u201cIt\u2019s always extra value-added when we cast somebody that either Tom has worked with \u2014 like Gloria \u2014 or always wanted to work with because everybody ups their game<\/a>. It\u2019s worked out really well.\u201d<\/p>\n

Whether the dangerous operation Joe is involved with works out well \u2014 especially after his uncle Danny (Donnie Wahlberg<\/a>) and the rest of the Reagan clan get involved \u2014 is to be determined.<\/p>\n
