“#Logic and Madlib Form New Project MadGic, Share New Song: Listen<\/strong>”<\/p>\n

Logic and Madlib have formed a new duo project, MadGic. Last night, they released a new joint single called \u201cMars Only pt. 3.\u201d It\u2019s one of the first new songs from Logic since the end of the Maryland rapp<\/a>er\u2019s previously announced \u201cretirement;\u201d he returned with the brief single \u201cTired in Malibu\u201d earlier this month. The song\u2019s lyrics allude to the existence of an entire full-length MadGic album: \u201cLogic and Madlib is MadGic, your catalogue tragic\/Fuck a underground, fuck a pop sound\/Made this whole album in a lockdown, hip hop is our town.\u201d Logic previously discussed the possibility of working with Madlib during an interview<\/a> with The Needle Drop last fall.<\/p>\n

Logic\u2019s most recent album, No Pressure<\/em>, was released last year. Madlib\u2019s Sound Ancestors<\/em>, made in collaboration with Kieran Hebden of Four Tet, was released in February.<\/p>\n
