The Tesla and SpaceX leader will be taking the stage on the May 8 \u201cSaturday Night Live\u201d episode. Miley Cyrus is the musical guest. <\/p>\n

Musk\u2019s new gig was announced on Twitter<\/a> and Instagram<\/a> on Saturday afternoon. \u201cMusk See TV,\u201d the post read. <\/p>\n

It\u2019s an out-of-the-box casting for the long-running sketch-comedy show. The most recent hosts have included entertainers Maya Rudolph, Carey Mulligan, Nick Jonas and Daniel Kaluuya. <\/p>\n

Last week, Tesla\u2019s autopilot feature was reportedly to blame for a deadly car crash, though Musk denies any involvement.<\/p>\n

Fans were not exactly thrilled with the decision. <\/p>\n

\u201cCancel this episode now. Just delete the post, say it was a funny joke, have Miley do double duty and never entertain an idea so horrendously stupid again,\u201d one fan page tweeted<\/a>.<\/p>\n
