“#Logic Isn\u2019t Taking Rap Un-Retirement Lightly – He's Started A Duo With Madlib<\/strong>”<\/p>\n

\nWhen an artist claims they\u2019re \u201cretiring,\u201d odds are they aren\u2019t \u2014 at least not for long. Case in point, Logic teased his rap retirement in July 2020 with what was supposedly his last album, No Pressure.\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n

But then the Def Jam Recordings artist\u00a0popped his head up in January with a new project called Planetory Destruction\u00a0<\/em>under the Doc D moniker. While Logic didn\u2019t implicitly say he was the sole figure behind the the album, Logic\u2019s fans were convinced Doc D was actually him.<\/p>\n

Then earlier this month, he fired off a freestyle called \u201cTired In Malibu,\u201d\u00a0which included bars such as, \u201cRetired for a minute\/But I guess I\u2019m back man.\u201d<\/p>\n

Now, Logic has announced a new super duo with legendary producer Madlib called MadGic. On Saturday (April 24), their first single arrived in the form of \u201cMars Only Pt. 3.\u201d The track finds the 31-year-old rapp<\/a>er going ham over a \u201990s-style boom bap beat.<\/p>\n

\u201cLogic and Madlib is MadGic, your catalog tragic,\u201d he raps. \u201cFuck a underground, fuck a pop sound\/Made this whole album in a lockdown, Hip Hop is our town\/Hairline like Doc Brown but I\u2019m killin\u2019 it.\u201d<\/p>\n

Elsewhere in the track, Logic boasts about having a whole album with Madlib \u00e0 la Freddie Gibbs.<\/p>\n
