Well, until recently,\u00a0you had to jailbreak your Kindle to do it. In 2021, though, it\u2019s finally an official feature. Here\u2019s how to turn on this long-awaited option.<\/p>\n<h2 role=\"heading\" aria-level=\"2\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"What_Youll_Need\"><\/span>What You\u2019ll Need<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>There are a couple of prerequisites and caveats that you need to be aware of to set a book cover as your screensaver.<\/p>\n<p>First, this feature is only supported by Kindle devices released since 2015. If you have an older Kindle kicking around, it probably won\u2019t work on it. The full list of supported models is:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Kindle (8th and 10th Generation)<\/li>\n<li>Kindle Paperwhite (7th and 10th Generation)<\/li>\n<li>Kindle Oasis (8th, 9th, and 10th Generation)<\/li>\n<li>Kindle Voyage (7th Generation)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>If you\u2019re not sure what model you have, <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.amazon.com\/gp\/help\/customer\/display.html?nodeId=GK33S847NN4V6Y83&amp;tag=hotoge-20\">Amazon has a handy guide that explains the key features of each release<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Second, you need to have the latest Kindle software installed. Your device most likely updates automatically. To check on this, first, connect your Kindle to WiFi.
