This was the stormtrooper they were looking for.<\/p>\n

It took more than three weeks but on Saturday a 3-foot stormtrooper figure from \u201cStar Wars\u201d found its way back to the Long Island store where it had been stolen \u2014 with a little help from the Suffolk County police and the public.<\/p>\n

The figure was located in a home in Wyandanch, store owner Richard McWilliams told the Post Saturday afternoon. The person at the home had app<\/a>arently bought the statue not realizing it was stolen and turned it over to police.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m definitely surprised,\u201d McWilliams said. \u201cI did not expect to get him back. I guess he took a vacation. And who knows what he saw over the last few weeks?\u201d<\/p>\n

Carissa Savillo, 34, address unknown, was arrested for stealing the statue and charged with Petit Larceny, Suffolk County police said Saturday.<\/p>\n

The figure was taken April 1 from the front of the Blast from the Past retro video game<\/a> store where it had been on display, according to McWilliams and the police.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Surveillance from the store on West Main Street showed two women walking off<\/a> with the 3-foot Star Wars figure on April 1. <\/p>\n

McWilliams said he and the cops got a lot of tips from the public, at least one of which helped police locate the statue and arrest Savillo.\n <\/p><\/div>\n
