Chromebooks have a handy \u201cDiagnostics\u201d <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/download-scripts-themes-apps\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"9\" title=\"Download Scripts &amp; Themes &amp; Apps\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">app<\/a> that makes this super easy to do.<\/p>\n<p>The Diagnostics app was introduced in <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.reviewgeek.com\/79078\/new-chrome-os-update-includes-diagnostics-tool-and-improved-launcher\/\">Chrome OS 90 in April 2020<\/a>. It\u2019s a big upgrade over the previous method that required viewing an internal system page. Each one provides an overview of information and can run a health test.<\/p>\n<p>The \u201cBattery\u201d section shows the size of your device\u2019s battery and tells you how long you have left at the current battery level. Underneath that are three different metrics:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Battery Health:<\/strong> The capacity of batteries can decline over time, meaning they won\u2019t stay charged as long. This number tells you how \u201chealthy\u201d the battery is. You want to see a high number here.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Cycle Count:<\/strong> The number of times your Chromebook has gone through a full charging cycle\u2014from 0-100%.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Current:<\/strong> The rate at which the Chromebook is currently being charged or discharged.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-724513\" src=\"https:\/\/www.howtogeek.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/04\/2021-04-22_10-55-08.png?trim=1,1&amp;bg-color=000&amp;pad=1,1\" alt=\"battery overview\" width=\"595\" height=\"203\" onload=\"pagespeed.lazyLoadImages.loadIfVisibleAndMaybeBeacon(this);\" onerror=\"this.onerror=null;pagespeed.lazyLoadImages.loadIfVisibleAndMaybeBeacon(this);\"\/><\/p>\n<p>You\u2019ll see the option to \u201cRun Discharge Test\u201d or \u201cRun Charge Test,\u201d depending on if your Chromebook is plugged in. It shows information about your device\u2019s processor at the top and you can see a real-time graph of CPU usage underneath. There are three metrics here as well:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Current Usage:<\/strong> An aggregate percentage of how much CPU is currently being used.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Temperature:<\/strong> Current temperature of the CPU.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Current Speed:<\/strong> How fast the CPU is currently running.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-724511\" src=\"https:\/\/www.howtogeek.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/04\/2021-04-22_11-02-35.png?trim=1,1&amp;bg-color=000&amp;pad=1,1\" alt=\"CPU overview\" width=\"594\" height=\"294\" onload=\"pagespeed.lazyLoadImages.loadIfVisibleAndMaybeBeacon(this);\" onerror=\"this.onerror=null;pagespeed.lazyLoadImages.loadIfVisibleAndMaybeBeacon(this);\"\/><\/p>\n<p>To get more information, click \u201cRun CPU Test.\u201d This will run a number of tests to make sure the CPU is running fine. Click \u201cRun Memory Test\u201d for some additional details. Be warned that this test takes 15 minutes.
