\n \u201cSelma,\u201d director Ava DuVernay\u2019s biopic about Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., will be free to rent on streaming services for the month of June, Paramount said Friday.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe hope this small gesture will encourage people throughout the country to examine our nation\u2019s history and reflect on the ways that racial injustice has infected our society,\u201d the studio said.<\/p>\n

The 2014 drama stars David Oyelowo as King, and received a Best Picture Oscar nomination. In his four-star review, Post critic Lou Lumenick called \u201cSelma\u201d \u201cHollywood\u2019s definitive depiction of the 1960s American civil rights movement.\u201d<\/p>\n

Viewers can find the film at all major services to rent for free, including Prime Video, App<\/a>le TV, YouTube<\/a> and Google Play.<\/p>\n

The studio\u2019s move follows Warner Bros. making its 2019 drama \u201cJust Mercy\u201d available for no charge on rental platforms in the wake of protests over the death of George Floyd.\n <\/p><\/div>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/div>\n
