Suffice it to say, the reaction to this news has been mixed. While there may be a sense of unpredictability that comes from having the Tesla billionaire host the show, there is also blowback over some of Musk\u2019s beliefs and past comments.<\/p>\n<p>Oh, and did we mention that some members of the cast aren\u2019t entirely thrilled about the choice? We\u2019ve got so many questions on that alone\u2026<\/p>\n<p>Yang\u2019s specific response, per his <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/fayedunaway\/?hl=en\">Instagram Stories<\/a>? \u201cWhat the f\u2013- does that even mean?\u201d. Fellow cast member Aidy Bryant has posted Stories of her own quote-tweeting Bernie Sanders discussing income inequality over the weekend \u2014 whether or not that is a direct reference to Musk remains to be seen. Meanwhile, featured player Andrew Dismukes <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/stories\/andrewdismukes\/2559818447145233122\/?hl=en\">posted<\/a> a photo of legendary cast member Cheri Oteri, noting that she is the only CEO he\u2019d like to work with. (Dismukes posted her name as \u201cCher-E,\u201d making the play-on-words actually work.)<\/p>\n<p>Do we think that something here could eventually cause\u00a0<em>SNL\u00a0<\/em>to rethink their decision having Elon host? It\u2019s far too early to say, but note that cast members often have zero say in choosing who leads their shows. Typically, this is a collaboration between NBC and some of the executive producers.
