\n A Muslim woman in Minnesota said a Starbucks employee wrote the word \u201cISIS\u201d on her coffee cup after she ordered the drink, according to a report.<\/p>\n

The woman, identified by CNN only as Aishah, told the network she received the offensively labeled drink when she ordered a coffee from a Starbucks that\u2019s inside a Target in St. Paul.<\/p>\n

When Aishah went to tell the employee her name, the barista scribbled something on the side of the cup before she could finish, according to the report.<\/p>\n

The employee then handed her the drink, which had the word \u201cISIS\u201d \u2014 an abbreviation for the Islamic State terrorist group \u2014 written on it in black marker, CNN reported.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe moment I saw it, I was overwhelmed with a lot of emotions,\u201d Aishah told the network.<\/p>\n

\u201cI felt belittled and so humiliated. This is a word that shatters the Muslim reputation all over the world. I cannot believe that in this day and age, something like this can be considered acceptable. It isn\u2019t OK,\u201d she added.<\/p>\n

The state\u2019s Council on American-Islamic Relations is now calling for all staff involved in the incident to be fired from the shop.<\/p>\n

A spokesperson for Target, which operates the Starbucks store, told CNN the labeling was \u201can unfortunate mistake.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cWe have investigated the matter and believe that it was not a deliberate act but an unfortunate mistake that could have been avoided with more clarification. We\u2019re taking app<\/a>ropriate actions with the team member, including additional training, to ensure this does not occur again,\u201d they said in a statement.\n <\/p><\/div>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/div>\n
