D3 Publisher and developer Sandlot will release Earth Defense Force 2: Invaders from Planet Space<\/em> for Switch on July 15 in Japan for 3,980 yen, followed by Earth Defense Force 2017<\/em> for Switch this fall, the company announced in the latest issue of Weekly Famitsu. <\/span><\/p>\n
Both game<\/a>s are ports with similar specifications to the previously released PS Vita versions.<\/p>\n
According to D3 Publisher producer Nobuyuki Okajima, the company wanted to begin porting form the original SIMPLE 2000 Series<\/a> Vol. 31: THE Earth Defense Force<\/em>, but gave up because it was too technically difficult.<\/p>\n
