Just as Dr. Shaun Murphy (Freddie Highmore<\/a>) and Lea Dilallo (Paige Spara<\/a>) thought they were \u201clucky\u201d after her test results came back \u2014 she was tested for gestational diabetes \u2014 the world fell out from beneath them as she collapsed at the end of the April 26 episode of The Good Doctor<\/em><\/a>.<\/p>\n

And as the promo for the next episode, \u201cDr. Ted,\u201d airing May 10, reveals, there\u2019s reason to be alarmed. Something\u2019s going on with Lea\u2019s pregnancy, and she\u2019s \u201cgoing to need to have surgery,\u201d Dr. Claire Browne (Antonia Thomas<\/a>) says. How will Shaun handle that while balancing being Lea\u2019s boyfriend and a doctor? Not easily.<\/p>\n

Shaun, as we\u2019d expect, puts together a surgical plan and is ready to assist. But as the father of the baby, \u201cyou can\u2019t be on it,\u201d Dr. Audrey Lim (Christina Chang<\/a>) informs him. That\u2019s a call that Dr. Aaron Glassman (Richard Schiff<\/a>) backs when Shaun goes to him.<\/p>\n

\u201cEveryone is always telling me I\u2019m not emotional enough and now you are saying that I\u2019m too emotional,\u201d Shaun protests.<\/p>\n
