Nyro\u2014the late American singer, songwriter, and pianist who rose to prominence in the mid-1960s to late \u201970s\u2014influenced a number of notable artists, including Bob Dylan, Joni Mitchell, Elton John, Neil Young, Carole King, Kate Bush, Elvis Costello, and others. On July 30, <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" class=\"external-link\" data-event-click='{\"element\":\"ExternalLink\",\"outgoingURL\":\"https:\/\/www.madfishmusic.com\/\"}' href=\"https:\/\/www.madfishmusic.com\/\">Madfish<\/a> and <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" class=\"external-link\" data-event-click='{\"element\":\"ExternalLink\",\"outgoingURL\":\"https:\/\/www.snappermusic.com\/\"}' href=\"https:\/\/www.snappermusic.com\/\">Snapper Music<\/a> will release <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" class=\"external-link\" data-event-click='{\"element\":\"ExternalLink\",\"outgoingURL\":\"https:\/\/lauranyro.lnk.to\/AmericanDreamer\/\"}' href=\"https:\/\/lauranyro.lnk.to\/AmericanDreamer\/\"><em>Laura Nyro: American Dreamer<\/em><\/a>, an 8xLP \u00a0limited edition deluxe box set featuring seven of Nyro\u2019s studio albums (recorded from 1967-1978) and an album of rarities and live cuts. Find a preview for the release below.<\/p>\n<p>The box set will also include a 36 page book featuring rare photographs, liner notes, and interviews with Todd Rundgren, Charlie Callelo, Herb Bernstein, and more. The seven studio LPs included in the set are: <em>More Than a New Discovery<\/em> (1967), <em>Eli and the Thirteenth Confession<\/em> (1968), <em>New York Tendaberry<\/em> (1969), <em>Christmas and the Beads of Sweat<\/em> (1970), <em>Gonna Take a Miracle<\/em> (1971), <em>Smile<\/em> (1976), and <em>Nested<\/em> (1978).<\/p>\n<p>In addition to recording her own music, Nyro\u2019s compositions were covered by the likes of Barbra Streisand, Three Dog Night, the 5th Dimension, and more.
