“#Get Your First Look at The CW’s Latest DC Comics Heroine (PHOTO)<\/strong>”<\/p>\n

The CW is staying true to the source material! The network responsible for many comic book-based dramas (Hello, Arrowverse<\/em>!) is adding one more to its lineup.<\/p>\n

The network\u2019s upcoming pilot, Naomi<\/em>, which was greenlit earlier this year, is inspired by the DC comics series<\/a> of the same name. The comics first came to fruition in 2019 with writers Brian Michael Bendis, David Walker, and artist Jamal Campbell. For the series, expect to meet Naomi McDuffie (played by Power<\/em>\u2018s Kaci Walfall) a teen from a small northwestern hometown who journeys into the multiverse after a local supernatural event causes her to begin searching for answers from her past. <\/span><\/p>\n

Naomi\u2019s research may draw connections to some of our favorite DC heroes \u2014 yes, really \u2014 but does that mean more crossovers are in our viewing future? We certainly wouldn\u2019t object to cameos from The CW\u2019s other heroic stars like Tyler Hoechlin\u2018s Superman or Grant Gustin\u2018s The Flash. Here\u2019s to hoping!<\/p>\n

The promo art above mirrors the comic\u2019s initial cover, which seems hopeful for a true adaptation of Naomi\u2019s story. And with executive producers Ava Du<\/span>Vernay and Jill Blankenship (Arrow<\/em>) at the helm, we\u2019re certainly not worried.<\/span><\/p>\n
