\u201cSometimes you shouldn\u2019t listen to your wife.\u201d<\/p>\n

Or so said Mila Kunis on Thursday\u2019s episode of \u201cThe Late Show With Stephen Colbert\u201d while discussing the sometimes less-than-stellar investment advice she\u2019s given to her husband, Ashton Kutcher. Namely, Kunis had previously discouraged the 43-year-old actor from investing in both Uber and bitcoin.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cMy dad in real life is a cab driver \u2014 was a cab driver, he\u2019s retired now \u2014 so I grew up on tips from a cab driver,\u201d said Kunis. \u201cSo [Kutcher\u2019s] like, \u2018There\u2019s this company. It\u2019s kind of like a cab company, but anybody can drive a cab.\u2019 I was like, \u2018That\u2019s the worst idea ever. Why? What?\u2019 \u201c<\/p>\n

\u201cAnd he was like, \u2018Let me get you this thing. It\u2019s called Uber. Let me just order it for you. You can test it out,\u2019 \u201d she continued. \u201cAnd I was like, \u2018You\u2019re going to put me in a car with a stranger? What is wrong with you?\u2019 I was furious at him.\u201d<\/p>\n

General<\/a>ly, the 37-year-old \u201cBlack Swan\u201d actress said she considers herself to have \u201creally good gut instincts on consumer goods,\u201d but Kutcher has a better eye for which companies to watch.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cHe\u2019ll bring me companies and be like, \u2018Here\u2019s a company we\u2019re thinking of investing in,\u2019 \u201d she said. \u201cThe best part about him is he\u2019s really smart about including me in everything and making sure I\u2019m aware of everything that\u2019s happ<\/a>ening. He\u2019s also really smart at knowing, sometimes, you shouldn\u2019t listen to your wife.\u201d<\/p>\n

Another such instance happened when Kutcher became interested in bitcoin over eight years ago.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cHe explains this whole thing to me and I was like, \u2018Well, is it FDIC insured?\u2019 And he was like, \u2018No. That\u2019s the point. It\u2019s not,\u2019 \u201d Kunis said. \u201cAnd I was like, \u2018Well who\u2019s going to make sure it\u2019s safe?\u2019 He was like, \u2018That\u2019s the point!\u2019 And I was like, \u2018Well I think this is a horrible idea.\u2019 And he went, \u2018Cool, we\u2019re investing it.\u2019 \u201c<\/p>\n
