Trevor Lawrence, man. <\/p>\n

Since going No. 1 to the Jaguars in the 2021 NFL Draft, Lawrence has done an innumerable number of interviews, but still served up a viral moment for fans on Friday. <\/p>\n

After heading to Jacksonville to meet with his new team and announce a Fanatics partnership, Lawrence joined NFL Network\u2019s James Palmer at TIAA Bank Field \u2014 where the reporter app<\/a>roached the star quarterback with a \u201cgreat opportunity.\u201d <\/p>\n

\u201cI want to catch the first pass you ever throw as an NFL player,\u201d said Palmer, who handed Lawrence a football. \u201cWhat do you think, you ready?\u201d <\/p>\n

\u201cI don\u2019t know, man, I think I\u2019m going to save it for some of my new teammates,\u201d Lawrence, who appeared uncomfortable, replied. <\/p>\n

Palmer put his head down and sighed, admitting, \u201cAlright, hey, you gotta shoot your shot, I tried.\u201d <\/p>\n

Lawrence let out a harmless laugh and said he\u2019s \u201cexcited\u201d to have one of his teammates receive his first career NFL pass. <\/p>\n

Nonetheless, he appreciated Palmer\u2019s offer. <\/p>\n

Palmer\u2019s NFL Network cohort Mike Garafolo caught the segment and said he \u201ccringed\u201d over Lawrence\u2019s \u201crejection,\u201d in a tweet<\/a> posted on Friday. <\/p>\n

The internet followed suit, with many fans roasting Palmer\u2019s attempt at \u201cactually\u201d receiving a pass from the No. 1 pick in the draft out of Clemson.<\/p>\n

The Jags are hoping Lawrence will lead a major turnaround from last season, which ended on a 15-game<\/a> losing streak.\n <\/p><\/div>\n
