They\u2019re handy at first, but can quickly become annoying. Here\u2019s how to turn them off.<\/p>\n<h2 role=\"heading\" aria-level=\"2\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Types_of_Tooltips_in_Photoshop\"><\/span>Types of Tooltips in Photoshop<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>Photoshop shows two types of tooltips: 1) regular tooltips, and 2) rich tooltips. A regular tooltip displays the name of the tool you\u2019re hovering over. Turning off the rich tooltips lets you see the regular ones, but you can also turn off all tooltips if you want.<\/p>\n<h2 role=\"heading\" aria-level=\"2\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"How_to_Turn_off_Rich_Tooltips_in_Photoshop\"><\/span>How to Turn off Rich Tooltips in Photoshop<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>To hide animated tooltips, first, launch Photoshop on your computer.<\/p>\n<p>If you\u2019re using a Windows PC, click the \u201cEdit\u201d menu at the top of the Photoshop window and select Preferences &gt; Tools. Then, click \u201cOK\u201d on the right to save the changes. (On some versions of Photoshop, you might see this option listed as \u201cUse Rich Tooltips\u201d instead.)<\/p>\n<p>If you want to disable regular tooltips as well, uncheck the \u201cShow Tooltips\u201d option, which is located above the rich tooltips option.
