An online date last summer that ended in a women\u2019s murder led to two more deaths after a fire allegedly ignited by the suspect to conceal his original crime grew into one of the largest wildfires in California history.<\/p>\n

Priscilla Castro, 32, of Valleja, Calif. went on a date on Aug. 16 with Victor Serriteno after the two met on a dating app<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Castro\u2019s family reported the woman missing two days later,\u00a0according to reports<\/a>. Investigators recovered her charred body weeks later in the Stebbins-Cold Canyon area in Northern California.<\/p>\n

Serriteno was arrested in September and has been in the custody of the Solano County Sheriff\u2019s Office since then.<\/p>\n

Officials now say that the historic Markley fire, which killed two people, was started by Serriteno during his effort to cover up the murder.<\/p>\n

Serriteno was arrested again Wednesday on suspicion of arson and murder.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe believe Serriteno deliberately set the Markley fire in an attempt to conceal his crime,\u201d Solano County Sheriff Tom Ferrara said at a Wednesday news<\/a> conference.<\/p>\n

Officials say the Markley Fire helped fuel an even greater outbreak, the historic LNU Lightning Complex. The massive inferno burned for more than a month, killed a total of six people and consumed more than 360,000 acres over five counties, making it the fourth largest wildfire in California history,\u00a0according to<\/a>\u00a0Solano County officials, before it was extinguished on October 2<\/p>\n

Castro was the mother of a 9-year-old girl.<\/p>\n

\u201cI knew there were ugly people in the world but I never knew they would do something to someone so close to us,\u201d\u00a0Castro\u2019s\u00a0sister, Jasmine Castro,\u00a0told\u00a0local CBS affiliate<\/a>\u00a0KOVR TV. \u201cHe doesn\u2019t deserve to get away with not one bit of this.\u201d\n <\/div>\n
