Sergeant Athena Grant (Angela Bassett<\/a>) is determined to find a missing woman, even if the officer assigned to the case isn\u2019t in the May 3 episode of 9-1-1<\/em><\/a>.<\/p>\n

As seen in TV Insider\u2019s exclusive sneak peek, Athena turns to Detective Ransone (Sasha Roiz<\/a>) about a case that hasn\u2019t gotten the attention it deserves. \u201cYou know there\u2019s nothing in that case file aside from a photo and the initial statement from her mother,\u201d she remarks.<\/p>\n

Ransone picks up the file and takes a look. \u201cIt would be [Nelson\u2019s case] if he were working it,\u201d Athena tells him. \u201cInstead, he decided to wait and see, maybe she\u2019ll just come back on her own. She\u2019s not the kind of missing girl that makes the evening news<\/a>.\u201d That means it\u2019ll be quite easy for these two to take over the case.<\/p>\n

As detailed in the slim file, Tracee Brielle Webber went missing at the age of 21 after last being seen at her workplace, a luxury car dealership. The report was filed two days later.<\/p>\n
