Media<\/a> watch: Major Corrections on Rudy Raid<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u201cThe Washington Post, New York Times, and NBC News<\/a> all issued corrections over the weekend, saying that Rudy Giuliani did not receive a direct warning from the FBI that he was a target of a Russian disinformation campaign,\u201d reports Slate\u2019s Daniel Politi<\/a>. All three had made the claim in stories of last week\u2019s FBI raids on the ex-mayor\u2019s home and office, all citing anonymous sources. In response, \u201cGiuliani is now calling on the media outlets to \u2018reveal their sources who lied and targeted an American Citizen.\u2019\u200a\u201d<\/p>\n

Budget expert: Joe\u2019s Spending Deception<\/strong><\/p>\n

President Biden is using accounting gimmicks to make his proposed spending \u201clook smaller\u201d and tax revenue \u201clarger,\u201d cautions ex-Treasury official Bruce Thompson at the Washington Examiner<\/a>. The actual cost of his American Jobs Plan over 10 years is \u201cat least $3.5 trillion,\u201d not the advertised $2 trillion; its revenue, after tax hikes, $1.7 trillion. So \u201conly about half\u201d the spending is paid for. In all, \u201cthe real projected cost of the three Biden spending plans is at least $7.2 trillion\u201d over 10 years, less than half covered by tax hikes. And that doesn\u2019t include interest on the higher deficits, likely \u201chundreds of billions\u201d more.<\/p>\n

Gadfly: So Now Travel<\/a> Bans Are OK?<\/strong><\/p>\n

National Review\u2019s Jim Geraghty notes <\/a>that liberal media were initially hostile to President Donald Trump\u2019s travel bans starting Jan. 31, 2020. Ron Klain, a top Joe Biden associate who\u2019s now White House chief of staff, called banning Chinese travel to the US \u201cpremature.\u201d \u201cIn his speeches in January, February, and March of 2020,\u201d Biden \u201ckept denouncing Trump\u2019s \u2018xenophobia\u2019 during this period.\u201d And \u201con March 12, 2020, Biden tweeted: \u2018A wall will not stop the coronavirus. Banning all travel from Europe \u2014 or any other part of the world \u2014 will not stop it.\u2019\u200a\u201d His campaign started endorsing the bans in April, and travel from China, South Africa, most of Europe, Brazil and now India is banned under the new prez. Bottom line: \u201cYou can\u2019t say: \u2018Travel bans are okay when my guy enacts them, but represent paranoid xenophobia when your guy enacts them.\u2019\u200a\u201d<\/p>\n

Libertarian: No \u2018Equity\u2019 in Prez\u2019s School Policy<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u201cDespite their professed goals, Democrats\u2019 pandemic policies have widened disparities between races,\u201d notes Reason\u2019s Matt Welch<\/a>. Take education: President Biden\u2019s Centers for Disease Control head, Rochelle Walensky, said data suggest \u201cschools can safely reopen,\u201d but then was obliged to meet with the two top teachers\u2019 union chiefs, who insist schools can\u2019t reopen without extra federal funding. Rather than follow the science<\/a> and release recommendations to \u201cscrap the 6-foot rule and delink school-reopening from community spread,\u201d the CDC instead claimed schools \u201coperating under a 3-foot standard were objectively unsafe\u201d and set a community-spread standard for full reopening that \u201cdisqualified more than 90 percent of American schools.\u201d Yet a McKinsey study estimates \u201cthe shift to remote learning just from mid-March to June last year cost students of color three to five months of education and white students one to three months.\u201d And white-majority districts are three times as likely to have some in-person learning than minority-majority districts.<\/p>\n

Conservative: The Future With Biden<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u201cAfter a hundred days of President Biden,\u201d most Americans have figured out that he \u201cneeds as many fabricated enemies as he can find; otherwise, his speeches, his demeanor, his agenda are little more than absurdities\u201d that \u201ccannot stand or fall on their own merits,\u201d argues Victor Davis Hanson at American Greatness<\/a>. Biden will try \u201cto ram through the hardest left-wing agenda in nearly 90 years, to call it bipartisanship and to demonize any who object as infrastructure racists, climate racists, immigration racists, voting racists and stimulus racists.\u201d And he\u2019ll rail that it\u2019s \u201clegions of Russian colluders, racists, insurrectionists and Jim Crow revivalists under every American bed\u201d who are the \u201cimpediments to fundamental transformation\u201d because \u201cthat is the Biden way.\u201d<\/p>\n
