During the conversation, the billionaire Hip Hop mogul opened up about fame, life during the pandemic and his various business endeavors. But for some reason, an 11-year-old interview he did with <em>The Wall Street Journal<\/em> was simultaneously dredged up on <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/social-mediaa\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"1\" title=\"Social Media\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">social media<\/a> in which he talked about the lack of \u201cprofound lyrics\u201d in some of his older work, specifically \u201cBig Pimpin\u2019.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>JAY-Z released the song in 2000 as the third single from his fourth studio album,\u00a0<i>Vol. 3\u2026 Life and Times of S. Carter. <\/i>Featuring UGK\u2019s Bun B and Pimp C, the track peaked at No. 18 on the Billboard Hot 100 and topped the Rhythmic Top 40 chart, helping propel the album to <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/trip-and-travel\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"10\" title=\"Trip &amp; Travel\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">trip<\/a>le-platinum status.\u00a0But with lyrics such as, \u201cIt\u2019s big pimpin\u2019 baby\/It\u2019s big pimpin\u2019, spendin\u2019 G\u2019s\/Feel me uh-huh uh, uh-huh,\u201d Hov wasn\u2019t exactly impressed with his pen <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/game\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"7\" title=\"Game\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">game<\/a> on that particular track.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThat\u2019s the exception,\u201d he said in the 2010 interview<em>.<\/em>\u00a0\u201cIt was like, I can\u2019t believe I said that. And kept saying it. What kind of animal would say this sort of thing? Reading it is really harsh.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"JAY-Z - Big Pimpin&#039; ft. Since \u201cBig Pimpin&#8217;\u201d and <em>Vol. 3\u2026Life and Times of S. Carter, <\/em>he\u2019s gone on to release nine more studio albums, including 2001\u2019s <em>The Blueprint,<\/em>\u00a02003\u2019s <em>The Black Album<\/em>\u00a0and 2013\u2019s\u00a0<em>Magna Carta Holy Grail.\u00a0<\/em>His latest,<em> 4:44,<\/em> arrived in 2017 and featured songs such as \u201cThe Story Of O.J.\u201d and \u201cBam\u201d with special guest Damian Marley.<\/p>\n<p>In the aforementioned interview with<em> The Times, <\/em>JAY-Z talked about his legacy and revealed he wants to be remembered like Damian\u2019s father, the great reggae legend Bob Marley.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI\u2019m not beyond ego, right?\u201d he said. \u201cHopefully they speak of me [with] the names of Bob Marley and all the greats. But that\u2019s not for me to say.
