Britney Spears has taken to Instagram to hit out TV shows about her life.<\/p>\n

\u201cThese documentaries are so hypocritical \u2026 they criticize the media<\/a> and then do the same thing,\u201d the singer wrote in a caption alongside a video of her dancing. \u201cI don\u2019t know y\u2019all, but I\u2019m thrilled to remind you all that although I\u2019ve had some pretty tough times in my life, I\u2019ve had way more amazing times.\u201d<\/p>\n

Spears has been the subject of several documentaries over the past few months, starting with the New York Times\u2019 Framing Britney Spears<\/em>, which explored the media\u2019s treatment of the pop star and the ongoing court battles for control of her estate.<\/p>\n

A new documentary, The Battle for Britney: Fans, Cash and a Conservatorship<\/em>, was released by the BBC this past weekend and again covers the singer\u2019s various public controversies and legal battles. Netflix is also working on a Spears documentary.<\/p>\n

\u201cIsn\u2019t this supposed to be a business and society about THE FUTURE?\u201d Spears continued in her Instagram post. \u201cWhy highlight the most negative and traumatizing times in my life from forever ago?\u201d<\/p>\n

The \u201cToxic\u201d hitmaker also took a moment to call out her former makeup artist Billy Brasfield, who recently told Page Six<\/em><\/a> that Spears doesn\u2019t have control over her own Instagram posts, something fans and critics have theorized in the past.<\/p>\n

\u201cI don\u2019t actually talk to Billy B AT ALL, so I\u2019m honestly very confused,\u201d she wrote, before adding, \u201cThis is my Instagram!!!!\u201d<\/p>\n

This isn\u2019t the first time Spears has shared her thoughts on the current surge of documentaries. In March, she took to Instagram to comment on Framing Britney Spears<\/em>, writing, \u201cI didn\u2019t watch the documentary, but from what I did see of it, I was embarrassed by the light they put me in. I cried for two weeks and well\u2026 I still cry sometimes.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n
