Source: Tradingview<\/em><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Ethereum_doesnt_stop_at_3500\"><\/span>Ethereum doesn&#8217;t stop at $3,500<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>Data from Cointelegraph Markets Pro and <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.tradingview.com\/symbols\/BTCUSD\/\">Tradingview<\/a>\u00a0followed ETH\/USD as the pair broke through its latest historic boundary and continued climbing.<\/p>\n<p>At the time of writing, the largest altcoin by market cap was in pure price discovery mode as it sought resistance above $3,500.<\/p>\n<p>The week had already seen new highs for Ether price on a daily basis, with seven-day gains standing at 36%.<\/p>\n<p>Among analysts and traders alike, the sense of excitement on the day was palpable.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;I have been calling for $3600 <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/search?q=%24ETH&amp;src=cashtag_click\">$ETH<\/a> for well over a month, but think it can go much higher,&#8221; Scott Melker <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/scottmelker\/status\/1389566092696244226\">told<\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/social-mediaa\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"1\" title=\"Social Media\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Twitter<\/a> followers.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Short-term price targets had called for $5,000 while zooming out, $10,000 and even $20,000 were not unheard of as Ether outperformed Bitcoin in dollar gains throughout the past year.<\/p>\n<figure><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/s3.cointelegraph.com\/uploads\/2021-05\/ff8f975a-75b1-44ef-bec4-035a5ee4b037.png\"><figcaption style=\"text-align: center;\"><em>Cryptocurrency market cap dominance chart. After somersaulting off its own all-time highs last month, Dogecoin returned with a vengeance, abruptly crushing its personal best to pass $0.50 for the first time.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Discovery of a new price ceiling was likewise still in progress at the time of writing, with DOGE\/USD taking out $0.55 on the back of 38% daily gains.<\/p>\n<figure><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/s3.cointelegraph.com\/uploads\/2021-05\/2206dedb-376c-412c-b460-98729d29d385.png\"><figcaption style=\"text-align: center;\"><em>DOGE\/USD 1-day candle chart (Bittrex). Source: Tradingview<\/em><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>The move came as major exchange Gemini announced that it had integrated support for Dogecoin, a day after trading platform eToro.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Dogecoin is the people\u2019s money.
