MechWarrior 5: Mercenaries<\/em> will feature cross-platform play for the first time in franchise history, publisher Sold Out and developer Piranha Game<\/a>s announced. <\/span><\/p>\n

The game, which is available now for PC via the Epic Games Store<\/a>, will receive a major free update on May 27 alongside its Xbox Series, Xbox One, Steam<\/a>, and GOG<\/a> releases that adds over 30 new and enhanced features, including cross-platform play.<\/p>\n

Piranha Games also announced that the download<\/a>able content \u201cHeroes of the Inner Sphere\u201d will be playable entirely in cooperative play, and that the special \u201cKobold Hero Mech\u201d will be an exclusive for the Microsoft PC and Xbox platforms with a custom load-out and paint job, plus a special new \u201cGoblin AI\u201d pilot with all-new dialogue.<\/p>\n

To celebrate the upcoming features, the price of the base game has been dropped to $29.99.<\/p>\n
