Until Google adds a caption feature to Docs, here are a few ways you can create and add captions to your photos.<\/p>\n<p>Depending on your preference, the number of images, and whether you want to caption each image uniquely, there are four ways to make it h<a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/download-scripts-themes-apps\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"9\" title=\"Download Scripts &amp; Themes &amp; Apps\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">app<\/a>en. You can add inline text, create a drawing, use a table, or try an add-on.<\/p>\n<h3><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Caption_Your_Image_Using_Inline_Text\"><\/span>Caption Your Image Using Inline Text<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n<p>The simplest option is to use an inline <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.howtogeek.com\/408262\/how-to-put-borders-around-images-in-google-docs\/\">format for your picture and add the text below the image. So if you plan to move things around in your document, you might like <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.howtogeek.com\/697369\/how-to-embed-a-google-drawing-into-google-docs\/\">the Drawing option better. For this option, you\u2019ll start without the image in your document.<\/p>\n<p>Put your cursor in the document where you want your image and caption. You can format your text with the font options in the toolbar if you like. You can then move it where you like, and the caption will stay with the image.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-725459\" src=\"https:\/\/www.howtogeek.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/04\/DrawingRainforestCaption-GoogleDocs.png?trim=1,1&amp;bg-color=000&amp;pad=1,1\" alt=\"Drawing image caption in Google Docs\" width=\"623\" height=\"500\" onload=\"pagespeed.lazyLoadImages.loadIfVisibleAndMaybeBeacon(this);\" onerror=\"this.onerror=null;pagespeed.lazyLoadImages.loadIfVisibleAndMaybeBeacon(this);\"\/><\/p>\n<p>If you need to edit the caption, select the drawing and click \u201cEdit\u201d in the toolbar.<\/p>\n<h3><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Caption_Your_Image_Using_a_Table\"><\/span>Caption Your Image Using a Table<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n<p>Another easy way to keep your caption with your image is to place both <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.howtogeek.com\/718382\/how-to-insert-and-edit-tables-in-google-docs\/\">in a table, with the caption in the cell below the image. You can then remove the table border so that the table appears invisible.<\/p>\n<p>Place your cursor in the document where you want the image and caption. Click Insert &gt; Table from the menu and choose a \u201c1 x 2\u201d table. The add-on we\u2019ll use is called <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/workspace.google.com\/marketplace\/app\/caption_maker\/525661240172\">Caption Maker<\/a>, which adds captions to all of your items at once. This is a good option to go with if you don\u2019t need specific text for each image. For instance, if the pictures can be labeled Image 1, Image 2, and so on.<\/p>\n<p>It\u2019s easy to use the add-on once you\u2019ve installed it from <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/workspace.google.com\/marketplace\">Google Workspace Marketplace<\/a>. Click Add-Ons &gt; Caption Maker &gt; Start from the menu.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-725468\" src=\"https:\/\/www.howtogeek.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/04\/CaptionMakerStart-GoogleDocs.png?trim=1,1&amp;bg-color=000&amp;pad=1,1\" alt=\"Click Add-ons, Caption Maker, Start\" width=\"400\" height=\"331\" onload=\"pagespeed.lazyLoadImages.loadIfVisibleAndMaybeBeacon(this);\" onerror=\"this.onerror=null;pagespeed.lazyLoadImages.loadIfVisibleAndMaybeBeacon(this);\"\/><\/p>\n<p>In the sidebar that appears, there are some customizations that you can make if you like.
