When the pandemic hit in March 2020, she posted on Instagram offering to lend the size 4 dress to brides whose wedding plans were affected by COVID-19. &#8211; Joe Photo<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>\u201cMy heart is breaking for all the brides out [there] having to cancel and postpone their special day,\u201d Blakely, 50, wrote on the social-media platform.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSo I thought why not offer my dress to more amazing women,\u201d the undergarment mogul added, prompting candidates to raise their hands in her Instagram comments.<\/p>\n<p>Franco, now a newlywed New Yorker originally from S\u00e3o Paulo, Brazil, immediately responded: \u201cI would love to wear your dress.\u201d A Spanx rep then reached out over direct message to ask more questions about her relationship and how COVID-19 messed up their wedding plans.<\/p>\n<figure style=\"width: 344px\" class=\"wp-caption alignleft\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"\" src=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2021\/05\/renata-franco.jpg?quality=75&amp;strip=all&amp;w=350\" width=\"344\" height=\"517\" \/><figcaption class=\"wp-caption-text\">Renato Franco, was the fifth woman to wear the gown, after she responded to an Instagram post about it. She married husband Fabio Meza on April 3 in Manhattan. &#8211; Thalles Gomes<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>She was forced to postpone her fairytale nuptials with fianc\u00e9 Fabio Meza, 30, when\u00a0the pandemic hit the city last spring.<\/p>\n<p>The pair met in S\u00e3o Paulo during the 2014 World Cup. Franco then relocated to Manhattan to pursue a bachelor\u2019s degree in business administration at Mercy College.<\/p>\n<p>And while she hadn\u2019t purchased any wedding regalia ahead of the shutdown, her plans to tie the knot in front of her family \u2014 who had been <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/download-scripts-themes-apps\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"9\" title=\"Download Scripts &amp; Themes &amp; Apps\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">app<\/a>roved for <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/trip-and-travel\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"10\" title=\"Trip &amp; Travel\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">travel<\/a> visas to the US from S\u00e3o Paulo \u2014 were canceled.<\/p>\n<p>But her luck changed once the benevolent girl-boss placed her size 4 frock on the borrowing block.<\/p>\n<p>The tea-length number by designer Edgardo Bonilla is one of the two dresses Blakely donned when she exchanged vows with entrepreneur Jesse Itzler in 2008. She also stunned in all-white wedding couture that was first worn by her late grandmother in 1918. (Those precious threads aren\u2019t being shared with the public.)<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">The dress Blakely is loaning out, however, was previously gifted to two other brides-in-need before quarantine: her good friend Julie Gruber, then musician Nataly Dawn, who she met while hiking.<\/p>\n<figure style=\"width: 1535px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium\" src=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2021\/05\/pomplamoose.jpg?quality=75&amp;strip=all&amp;w=1535\" width=\"1535\" height=\"1023\" \/><figcaption class=\"wp-caption-text\">Before the pandemic, musician Nataly Dawn borrowed the dress for her May 2016 marriage to bandmate Jack Conte, after meeting Blakely just once, while hiking. &#8211; Jeff Marini<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Now, Blakely has made a practice of sharing her gown. The Spanx maven and her team ship the dress to each bride-to-be, free of charge, along with a gift bag full of her brand\u2019s signature shapewear goodies. After the wedding, the brides don\u2019t even have to pay to have the gown cleaned.<\/p>\n<p>Blakely \u2014\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.forbes.com\/profile\/sara-blakely\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">worth an estimated $610 million<\/a>, according to Forbes \u2014 covers the laundering costs, as well as the return shipping fees.<\/p>\n<figure style=\"width: 351px\" class=\"wp-caption alignright\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium\" src=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2021\/05\/leJeanne-capers.jpg?quality=75&amp;strip=all&amp;w=351\" width=\"351\" height=\"526\" \/><figcaption class=\"wp-caption-text\">Six weeks before her wedding, LeJeanne Thomas\u2019s dressmaker closed her shop due to COVID.
