This latest post-apocalyptic thriller looks like a mishmash of\u00a0<em>Children of Men<\/em> and\u00a0<em>The Last of Us<\/em> video <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/game\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"7\" title=\"Game\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">game<\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/watch-movies-tv-seriess\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"8\" title=\"Watch Movies &amp; TV Series\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">series<\/a>, with a little\u00a0<em>Bird Box<\/em> and\u00a0<em>A Quiet Place<\/em> thrown in for good measure. After a mysterious event knocks out all electronics and somehow robs people of their ability to sleep, chaos reigns. When Jill, a former soldier, discovers her young daughter may be the key to salvation, she must decide: protect her children at all costs or sacrifice everything to save the world.\u201d\u00a0<strong>Mark Raso<\/strong> directs the film, which stars\u00a0<strong>Gina Rodriguez<\/strong>, <strong>Ariana Greenblatt<\/strong>,<strong> Frances Fisher<\/strong>, <strong>Shamier Anderson<\/strong>, <strong>Finn Jones<\/strong>, <strong>Lucius Hoyos<\/strong>, <strong>Gil Bellows<\/strong>, with<strong> Barry Pepper<\/strong> and <strong>Jennifer Jason Leigh<\/strong>, and if you want to have some fun, just pretend this is a sequel to\u00a0<em>Annihilation<\/em>, a movie that also featured Rodriguez and Leigh. Hell, Leigh even seems to be playing the same character here as she played in that film.<\/p>\n<p>I like a good post-apocalyptic flick as much as the next person, but I\u2019m not sure what to make of\u00a0<em>Awake<\/em>. I guess what\u2019s throwing me off is the lack of electronics element \u2013 why did that need to be part of a movie where people suddenly lose the ability to sleep? I guess to make things more desperate, but still, \u201cwe have no electricity and also people can\u2019t fall asleep!\u201d seem completely slammed together without much thought.<\/p>\n<p>Still, this looks suitably intense. \u201cHumanity im<a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/social-mediaa\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"1\" title=\"Social Media\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">media<\/a>tely succumbs to chaos the minute its inconvenienced\u201d is a concept I can get behind, because that\u2019s exactly what would happen.
