(<a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"http:\/\/tvinsider.com\/people\/melissa-mccarthy\">Melissa McCarthy<\/a>, <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"http:\/\/tvinsider.com\/people\/kevin-hart\">Kevin Hart<\/a>, and <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"http:\/\/tvinsider.com\/people\/will-ferrell\">Will Ferrell<\/a> were the previous recipients).<\/p>\n<p>This award honors an actor who has made incomparable contributions to the world of comedy, is a major influence through their work, and has changed the genre as a whole.<\/p>\n<p>Baron Cohen is also up for three other awards this year: Best Performance in a Movie for <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"http:\/\/tvinsider.com\/show\/the-trial-of-the-chicago-7\"><em>The Trial of the Chicago 7<\/em><\/a>, Best Movie for <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"http:\/\/tvinsider.com\/show\/borat-subsequent-moviefilm\"><em>Borat Subsequent Moviefilm<\/em><\/a>, and Best Duo with co-star <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"http:\/\/tvinsider.com\/people\/maria-bakalova\">Maria Bakalova<\/a> for <em>Borat Subsequent Moviefilm<\/em>.
