\n A boy on Long Island was found unresponsive in a backyard pool Thursday \u2014 landing in the hospitalized in serious condition, authorities said.<\/p>\n

Suffolk County Police were called to the Great River home on Pinetree Lane at around 1:30 p.m. for a report of a 7-year-old boy found in the pool, cops said.<\/p>\n

The child, who cops say is a relative of the residents at the home, was rushed to Southside Hospital in Bay Shore in serious condition.<\/p>\n

He is expected to be transferred to Cohen\u2019s Children\u2019s Medical Center in New Hyde Park, police said.<\/p>\n

Suffolk County Police Third Squad detectives are investigating the circumstances surrounding the incident.\n <\/p><\/div>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/div>\n
