One of my most-anticipated movies<\/a> of the year is\u00a0The Green Knight<\/em><\/strong>, the fantasy film from director\u00a0David Lowery<\/strong> starring Dev Patel<\/strong>.\u00a0The Green Knight<\/em> was originally intended to hit theaters last year, but the pandemic got in the way. Rather than dropping the film on VOD, A24 held out, and now they\u2019re gearing up to finally release the film in theaters this July. Which means it\u2019s time to start marketing the film again! As a result, a slew of\u00a0Green Knight<\/em> character posters have arrived, and you can check them out below.<\/p>\n

First, let\u2019s start with the original\u00a0Green Knight<\/em> poster, which arrived last year and depicted Dev Patel\u2019s main character,\u00a0Sir Gawain.

Now let\u2019s look at the new posters, all done in the same style.<\/p>\n

Here\u2019s a fur-clad\u00a0Joel Edgerton<\/strong>, playing a character known only as \u201cLord\u201d on IMDb\/Wikipedia. It\u2019s possible he has a character name, but for now, we don\u2019t know it. Just look upon his fur. As for the \u201cone year hence\u201d tagline, I\u2019m not entirely sure what that means \u2013 unless they\u2019re deliberately commenting on the fact that it\u2019s been a year since they were supposed to originally release this movie.<\/p>\n

\nHere\u2019s\u00a0Alicia Vikander<\/strong> and her very big hair as Lady \/ Esel.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

Next we have\u00a0Sarita Choudhuryki<\/strong> as a character called Mother. Is she Gawain\u2019s mother? Probably! Is she blind? Maybe! It\u2019s all very mysterious and I can\u2019t wait to learn more.<\/p>\n

This is the Green Knight himself, as played by\u00a0Ralph Ineson<\/strong>.
\n\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

And of course, I saved the best for last. I don\u2019t know this fox\u2019s name, but I very much want to pet him. And all I ask is that he survives the film. Don\u2019t kill the fox,\u00a0Green Knight<\/em>. Please.<\/p>\n

An epic fantasy adventure based on the timeless Arthurian legend, The Green Knight tells the story of Sir Gawain (Dev Patel), King Arthur\u2019s reckless and headstrong nephew, who embarks on a daring quest to confront the eponymous Green Knight, a gigantic emerald-skinned stranger and tester of men. Gawain contends with ghosts, giants, thieves, and schemers in what becomes a deeper journey to define his character and prove his worth in the eyes of his family and kingdom by facing the ultimate challenger.
