As Jacques Arpels \u2014 the nephew of Van Cleef & Arpels\u2019 founders Estelle Arpels and her husband, Alfred Van Cleef \u2014 was fond of saying, \u201cTo be lucky, you must believe in luck.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n

The French jeweler clearly believes: Just look at the storied maison\u2019s signature motifs \u2014 from fairies and unicorns to ladybugs and four-leaf clovers.<\/p>\n

The house\u2019s latest Perl\u00e9e Sweet Clovers collection, launching June 14th, continues that lucky streak. Featuring bracelets and rings in three gold finishes \u2014 yellow, rose and white \u2014 the line shimmers with slimmed-down takes on the house\u2019s existing Perl\u00e9e Clover line. (All the better for mixing, matching and stacking to your heart\u2019s content.)<\/p>\n

The new line showcases two brand signatures \u2014 four-leaf clovers (which first app<\/a>eared in its archives in 1906) and Perl\u00e9e creations, dotted with tiny golden beads.<\/p>\n

Although the official Perl\u00e9e collection debuted in 2008, it was modeled on vintage Van Cleef & Arpels pieces dating back to the 1920s. In the 1960s, those same beads were wound into VCA\u2019s Twist collection, used to accentuate pearls and other stones. By 1968, the glistening globes popped up in the Alhambra collection, enhancing lucky pieces with a clover-inspired quatrefoil \u2014 a motif that debuted in a long necklace and has remained a pillar of the brand ever since.<\/p>\n

Today\u2019s Perl\u00e9e clovers are framed by two rows of hand-set golden beads, each shaped into a smooth sphere and hand-polished to a high gleam. Each shamrock is shaped around a single gold bead at the center, surrounded by four brilliant round diamonds of exceptional color and clarity for intense sparkle.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The delicate new \u201csweet\u201d clovers pieces are embellished with 10 clovers on each bracelet and five on each ring. Double or trip<\/a>le their impact by wearing them in mixed-metal stacks and mingling them with other Perl\u00e9e pieces.\u00a0<\/p>\n
