\n A GoFundMe account set up by George Floyd\u2019s family has amassed the most individual donations in the site\u2019s history.<\/p>\n

More than 500,000 donors have contributed to the page from around the world, more than any previous effort for anything, a rep there told TMZ\u00a0on Friday.<\/p>\n

The donations have already topped $13 million in just over a week.<\/p>\n

The \u201cOfficial George Floyd Memorial Fund\u201d was set up on May 27 by Floyd\u2019s brother, Philonise, and had sought to raise $1.5 million.<\/p>\n

The money will be used for funeral, burial, travel<\/a> and grief counseling expenses related to George\u2019s Memorial Day death under the knee of a Minneapolis police officer, the site said.<\/p>\n

Remaining funds will go to the Floyd estate to care for and educate his children, the site said.<\/p>\n

The GoFundMe account and the Floyd estate are being managed by Tallahassee, Fla.-based law firm Ben Crump Law, the site said.<\/p>\n
