\nThe meteoric rise of Tupac Shakur before his tragic, unsolved murder in 1996 remains one of Hip Hop\u2019s most poignant cautionary tales.<\/p>\n

Jeezy admitted he was reminded by Snoop Dogg and E-40 years ago that he could be as a casualty in the streets like the late\u00a0Makaveli<\/em> creator if he didn\u2019t begin focusing on his music career.<\/p>\n

During the latest episode titled \u201cMental Health, Grudges and Forgiveness\u201d of\u00a0Jeezy\u2019s Best Advice<\/em> podcast released Thursday (May 6), the Atlanta-bred Snowman discussed being\u00a0\u201clocked up in L.A. for some things that happ<\/a>ened in the Bay\u201d Area in 2014.<\/p>\n

The Doggfather and 40 were among Shakur\u2019s close friends. His death compelled them to approach Jeezy during a video shoot with Jeezy in Los Angeles, providing words of wisdom to chase a positive lifestyle.<\/p>\n

\u201cMy mind was gone,\u201d Jeezy said. \u201cI was upset, I wanted revenge, and I wasn\u2019t focused. My whole equilibrium was thrown off.\u00a0 I was really on some \u2014 it was crazy. I remember sitting down and they both sat down and looked at me and they just kinda like, side-eyed me\u2026 [They say], \u2018You know what? You know what\u2019s the difference between you and Pac?\u2019 And I was just like, \u2018Whoa.\u2019 I\u2019m like, okay.\u201d<\/p>\n

He added, \u201cThey just went on to say, \u2018Yo, listen.\u00a0Tupac never stopped what he was about. He never let up on his people. He never\u2026\u2019 And it was like \u2018You, better get out here and do what you\u2019re supposed to be doing, because these people believe you and\u00a0they riding with you,\u00a0and you ain\u2019t moving right. And we telling you that.\u2019<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m sitting with\u00a0E-40\u00a0and\u00a0Snoop Dogg\u00a0and I\u2019m like, \u2018Damn.\u00a0I\u2019m gettin\u2019 G-checked by the big homies.’\u201d<\/p>\n
