And in a recent <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/social-mediaa\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"1\" title=\"Social Media\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Twitter<\/a> Q&amp;A, McQuarrie <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/collider.com\/top-gun-maverick-christopher-mcquarrie\/\">said<\/a> <em>Top Gun 2<\/em> is \u201cthe best film I\u2019ve been a part of. I cannot wait to see it unleashed on an audience.\u201d McQuarrie has been behind some incredibly entertaining movies, so that quote should help <em>Top Gun<\/em> fans breathe a sigh of relief at the prospect of this sequel actually being good.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-670086 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/d13ezvd6yrslxm.cloudfront.net\/wp\/wp-content\/images\/Cruise-on-a-train-700x793.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"700\" height=\"793\" srcset=\"https:\/\/d13ezvd6yrslxm.cloudfront.net\/wp\/wp-content\/images\/Cruise-on-a-train.jpg 700w, https:\/\/d13ezvd6yrslxm.cloudfront.net\/wp\/wp-content\/images\/Cruise-on-a-train-360x408.jpg 360w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 700px) 100vw, 700px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Speaking of McQuarrie and Cruise, they\u2019re currently working on the next\u00a0<em>Mission: Impossible<\/em> movies, which will feature Cruise returning to a train as an action setpiece for the first time in the franchise since the 1996 original. The big difference? In an interview with <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/collider.com\/the-meg-2-jason-statham-filming-start-date\/\">Collider<\/a>, <em>The Meg<\/em> star <strong>Jason Statham<\/strong>\u00a0revealed that production on the sequel is going to begin early next year. \u201cWe\u2019re gonna start shooting in January, if I get my dates right,\u201d he said. \u201cBen Wheatley is the director, I\u2019m very excited to work with him. I\u2019m thrilled to get going, it\u2019s been a while. We\u2019ve been waiting around for the right scripts to come in and the right director to turn up, and we\u2019ve got all those things and they\u2019re all stacked up now\u2026we have a great shorthand already. We\u2019ve got similar taste. I like his movies, I think he\u2019s a brilliant director. Speaking with <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.inverse.com\/entertainment\/justice-smith-hbo-max-generation-detective-pikachu\">Inverse<\/a>, star <strong>Justice Smith<\/strong>\u00a0said that he would \u201clove to participate in\u00a0<em>Detective Pikachu 2<\/em>,\u201d but he is not confident it will ever happen. \u201cI think we have to just kind of bury our hopes. I don\u2019t think it\u2019s going to happen. I really hope so though. Honestly, I\u2019m such a huge fan, who knows, who knows?
